Appearance: Bright and brilliant in the glass. With a light purple core to the wine and a bright ruby hue around the rim.
Nose: Bright red fruits lift from the glass. Lashings of Raspberries mingle with a fine dusting off spice from high quality French oak. Nutmeg, cloves and fresh vanilla bean add layers of flavours on the nose. A good decant of the wine will allow the nose to further open up.
Palate: The essence of this wine is the lush core of fruit on the mid palate. With that lovely mid weight, typical of the Hunter valley Shiraz the wine is a perfect food wine. Mulberry and red fruits dominate the fruit spectrum on the palate while the fine structure and dusty tannin makes for great drinking now but will also reward those that can be patient. The oak has added to this wine, soft and creamy it seems to have wrapped the fruit in that soft and Moorish pillow.
